Vision, Mission, and Objectives

The establishment of Journalism Programme is a beginning of a progressive journalism education which is manifested in the following vision and mission:

Vision

“Becoming a reliable, professional, and qualified provider of higher education in journalism, and being able to adapt and contribute positively to changes at the local, national, and international levels in 2024.”

Mission

  1. Organizing and developing journalistic knowledge, theory, and skills at the undergraduate level.
  2. Conducting research and community service activities in the field of journalism that are innovative, relevant, and beneficial for the community, nation, and state.
  3. Establishing strategic cooperative relationships with the community, government, business, and industry, as well as fellow educational institutions both at home and abroad, on an ongoing basis by applying the principles of equality, mutual, and trust.
  4. Developing education management by applying the principle of quality assurance.
  5. Producing academics in the field of journalism who uphold ethics, humanist values, and cultural values.

OBJECTIVES – Programme Educational Objectives

Producing journalism graduates with the following characteristics:

  1. Mastering and applying their knowledge, skills, and competencies in the field of journalism, mass/media communication in their profession.
  2. Being lifelong learners who are able to develop themselves through formal and informal education.
  3. Upholding professional ethics, being able to adapt to change, contributing to society, and having a global vision.
