On Saturday, May 6, 2023, the Faculty of Communication Sciences (Fikom) campus at Padjadjaran University (Unpad) in Jatinangor witnessed an event called “Journalism Mudik,” which was attended by approximately 200 people. The attendees consisted of journalism alumni from Fikom Unpad spanning various generations, from the 1980s to the most recent batch in 2019.
The “Journalism Mudik” event took place with enthusiasm and joy. The presence of alumni from different generations created an atmosphere filled with nostalgia and togetherness. Participants eagerly shared their experiences, stories, and interacted with current journalism students studying at Fikom Unpad.
During the “Journalism Mudik” event, there were also discussion sessions about curriculum and experience sharing from successful alumni in the field of journalism. They shared inspiring stories and provided insights and motivation to the Journalism Study Program students. These discussions served as valuable moments for students to gain a deeper understanding of the journalism industry and the opportunities it offers.
