The Faculty of Communication Science at Universitas Padjadjaran collaborates with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia to organize a Virtual Mobility Course.

The Faculty of Communication Science at Universitas Padjadjaran organized a Virtual Mobility Course in collaboration with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia. The course consisted of 7 online sessions held over 4 days on November 30, December 1, December 7, and December 8, 2022. The event was attended by 150 participants from Unpad and 86 participants from UiTM, including lecturers and students.

On Wednesday, November 30, 2022, the session featured a lecture by Madam Wan Admiza Wan Hassan, a lecturer from the Broadcasting program at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia. She delivered a presentation titled “On Air with Madam Wan” through the Cisco Webex platform. The following day, Thursday, December 1, 2022, had two lecture sessions. The first session was presented by Sir Nor Hilmi Mohd Johan, discussing “Wounding Words: A Talk on Violence in Communication” via live YouTube. The second session was conducted by Miss Nurliyana Kamilah Khairul Anuar, covering public relations with the topic “Day to Reality: The Whole Life of PR.”

The collaboration between Unpad and UiTM continued on December 7, 2022. The first session was delivered by Dr. des. Aang Koswara, S.Sos., M.SI., a lecturer from the Public Relations program at the Faculty of Communication Science, Universitas Padjadjaran. The presentation titled “Delivering Made in Germany Products in the Indonesian Marketplace: What Can Marketing Public Relations Do?” discussed the role of public relations in international cooperation. On the same day, Dr. Ira Mirawati, S.Sos., M.Sc., a lecturer from the Communication Management program at Fikom Unpad, presented a session on Social Media Monetization, focusing on optimizing social media usage from a communication management perspective.

The sessions continued on December 8, 2022, with a presentation by Dr. Nindi Aristi, S.Sos., MA.Comn., a lecturer from the Communication Science program at Fikom Unpad. The session addressed the negative impact of social media in the present context with the topic “Cyber Bullying in Social Media: Case Study in Indonesia.” The final session was conducted by lecturers and students from Fikom Unpad specializing in Television and Film, discussing Short Film Production. The session included a focus group discussion facilitated by Dr. Sri Seti Indriani, S.IP., M.Sc., Pandu Watu Alam, M.Pd., Alwi Johan, and Muhammad Raffi Iskandar Putra.

This cross-university exchange between Indonesia and Malaysia is part of Fikom Unpad’s internationalization efforts, aiming to enhance students’ knowledge, particularly in the field of Communication Science. (Source: fikom.unpad.ac.id)
